I recently purchased a 2001 Magna. On the interior side of the entry door frame, adjacent with the door latch bolt is a black plastic strip about the size of a pocket comb. It has the initials PLT on it. I removed it and it is covering something that interacts with the door latch bolt. If I attempt to remove what it is covering then the latch bolt changes behavior (normally it will move up and down 1/2 inch... I have no idea why). Does anyone know what this does? Some sort of keyless entry or??? The coach manuals/info have no mention of it.
Also, I need to replace some vinyl above the dash. CC does not have any... anyone have any sources?

Thanks,

Randy, 01 Magna, #5991

"randallafox",

Call PTL Industries who built the door and ask to speak with Brian Tramley. He will be able to answer your questions. Phone # is (248) 652-7998.

Hope this helps...........
