Title: NHTSA Recall #05V398

I received my paperwork yesterday via Registered Mail for the recall of specific Intrigues manufactured between 2/98 and 6/99 for replacement of all tires. I have the list if any owners have not received their mail. There may be some second owners who have not had their information transferred to CCI.
Apparently the factory didn't place the proper label on our coaches.
There is also a eligibility provision for reimbursement if the owners have replaced the tires prior to this notification.

How nice.

If interested, you can contact CCI: Warranty and Compliance, or as mentioned, a list of affected coaches is attached to the package of paperwork and I will by happy to look at your number if the mfg. date is within that range.

Ron, I have a '99 Allure and had tire recall a couple of years ago.
You might want to check with CC about yours.

Larry,

I have coach #10776. Curious if this is on your list. (We're on the road so any correspondene from them is weeks away.) CC had replaced the driver front tire several years ago as a result of a recall. They also provided a new tire inflation sticker to replace the factory one.
I replaced all the tires last year as we hit the 5 year mark and I didn't want to take any chances. Wonder if they'll reimburse for all six?? And yes, this is just one of the advantages of owning an older CC. Haven't found ANY reason to trade in for a new one yet!

Thanks,
Greg

Ron: Your number is the last on on the list. My Registered letter came from Dick Sabatth, Senior Manager, Warranty and Compliance at Country Coach. It recommends we call the Service Dept. @ 1-800-452-8015. It states that the service department will refer you to a service facility near you.
I called them and told them about a commercial tire dealer near me that I would prefer to have do the job. They instructed me to take the warranty claim form to the dealer and they would do the rest.
My recommendation would be to have a specific dealer in mind when you call, unless you live near one of their major repair facilities.

Good luck

Hi Larry,

I called CC service this morning and was told my coach had been taken care of in February 2001, by the previous owner I guess.
Over 4 years sure seems a long time from the start of this recall to getting the final ones on the list fixed!

I got the tire recall letter and while replacing my tires, I would like to move up from a 275/70R/22.5 to a 275/80R/22.5 tire, but a local tire dealer told me today that he would not install the larger tires without a letter from CC approving the installation. Apparently there is a liability issue that he is concerned about. Has anyone had this problem and/or has anyone discussed this issue with CC ?

Thanks
Gene
