Could someone who attended the Cummings presentation at FMCA please help me. The presenter talked about safe shut-down procedure after pulling a grade etc and indicated that if you checked your intake manifold temp and compared it to ambient temp, It was OK to shut down once the difference between the two was less than a certain value. Does anyone know what the magic number is? Don Scott

The answer to the question of when you can shut down the engine etc. is, if it is within 40 degrees of ambient temp.
Hope that helped!
