I have a 2001 Intrigue and think it is time to change the fuel filter on the Hydronic Heating System. Doers anybody know the part number for a popular filter maufacturer replacment unit that I could buy and install?? Is there any special procedure, like bleeding the air out of the line when replacing the Fuel Filter? ? ? ?
Thanks in Advance for Advice
Lee Casebeer in Portland with a Broken CAC for last 2 weeks and 2 more weeks 'til new one is built by MAC Radiator in for $2,000 vs CC privce of $2,900 and 6 weeks delay.

Lee, I just took the old one to a parts shop and matched it up. The new one is not exactly the same as the old one, but is an in-line diesel filter. No problems after installation, but I did open the air bleedoff valve wide for a few minutes and then returned it to one-half turn open where it stays. I am assuming your unit is a Hurricane.

I Called Hydronic and ordered them two filters a nozzle and igniter, but I had the work done by a CC Authorized SV. Center. We had around 650 hours and they recommend annual service to clean and replace filters.

The problem with our Hurricane unit was the pump... thanks to those that offered advice.
Now that it is working I am very surprised how much it smells like antifreeze or something similiar inside the coach when it is running.
Anyway to get rid of the smell? I checked the system for leaks and there does not appear to be any.
Thanks,

Randy,I have 01 Magna and had the anti-freeze smell in the coach. Found out smell was leeching from hoses, had them all replaced, with gates hose, smell gone.

That sounds like a huge job. Did you have it done or do it yourself? By gates hose do you mean Gates Rubber?
Thanks,

Randy,I had my dealer Buddy Gregg do it while it was under warranty, and the hose was Gates Rubber. You might check with CC, thats where they got what type of hose.

BG did mine also, I had the green hose and changed it to the black Gates hose.... you also MUST flush the ENTIRE cooling/heating system, including the engine and radiator.
