This weekend we had a pretty good trip with no other issues except for the cruise control would not disengage when the brake pedal was depressed. As you can imagine I was a bit surprised when I kept accelerating even though I had hit the brake pedal. At any rate I quickly turned off teh cruise control via the steering wheel before hitting the cars ahead of me.
At any rate, anyone had this issue before? Is this an easy fix as I do not want to take my coach in again just to have this fixed. Not sure if it is realted but they replaced my leveling system componets a month ago and thought maybe they affected some wiring related to the crusie and brake pedal? Just a thought.
Thanks for any help!

This is a serious safety issue. Have you called Tech Support? I would start there.

Kary,
Check your stop lights. Sounds like the switch that contacts the brake pedal arm is not making. Should be an easy fix. Adjustment or new switch.

I stupidly traveled 5000 miles operating the cruise disconnect manually b4 I realized that I also had no brake lights. I had a mechanic change out my HWH leveling switches b4 I left and in the process it appears he ran a ground wire from one of the 2 brake light/cruise disconnect switches - shorted out my 20A fuse and I was unaware. There is a vast difference in model year of our coaches but I'll bet your switch is air/electric and not mechanical as in an auto. Check your schematics and they should show you where the switch(s) are mounted, wire numbers and where the fuse is - check the easy stuff 1st! Hope this helps. I'm trying to do all of the repair work on my coach myself - helps me learn about the coach and saves me $98 per hour labor - and then in the above example you drive off the lot and don't know what else they screwed up!!!

Thanks! They did replace my Power Gear leveling system at the last visit because it failed. Possibly they also messed up the cruise control.
Thanks
again!

Thanks for all the help on this all. I found out that I too had a blown fuse and my brake lights were also out. It is now fixed and hopefully my cruise control will again work correctly.
