Title: Exhaust Pipe Tip for our 05 Intigue?

I am embarrassed to admit that I damaged the exhaust pipe tip as I was backing in the other day. I called CC and they want $160 for a small 7 inch chrome tip.

Has anyone found a good source for exhaust parts?

Thanks Much,

You might try going to a local truck supply company. That worked out well for me when I did the same thing on my old coach

Did you ask CC if they were embarrassed to ask such a high price for such an item?

Russ,

My old 2000 Allure did not have a nice looking exhaust tip. I went to a truck salvage yard and they cut off a 2 foot piece of pipe from a wrecked truck. I think they charged me $10.00 for it. I cut off a piece that was the same length as the original. I then changed it out. It certainly improved the looks of the coach and it did not cost me much money.

The parts guy was not apologetic. If I am right, all of the parts are a bit over priced. I guess he was used to hearing strong gasps when he gives out prices,:-(

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess the cost for the 7 inch piece of SSteel is expensive. The $160. is pretty much typical, no matter who I call. Stanley MFG in JC wants $140. Oh well..

Go to a truck dealer and get them to order a piece of 5" exchaust pipe. Mine cost me 50 bucks and I got three pieces out of it.
