On our 05 Allure we are not getting any heat form the Heat Pump on the front unit. Back one works fine. Has anyone else had this problem?

Similiar problem in my coach, 05 Allure 31176. My front unit would heat down to about 50 degrees but then quit heating. Ran ok, but no heat. Dometic folks replaced a thermostat in the unit and solved that one....the thermostat is an in line thermostat and is in the roof unit itself. Took them about 10 minutes or so...once they got on the roof...

Remember folks, when it gets real cold, there is a certain temperature at which the heat pumps will not run.

As per the Dometic thermostat instructions on my 05 Intrigue the heat pumps will operate down to 30 degrees and then the thermostat switches over to aux heat(the furnace or hydro hot). I don't know how efficient the heat pumps are at those low temperatures though.

Kevin, we are parked in Camp Verde, AZ. It's getting into the 20's at night and the 50's to 60's during the day. Our experience with the heat pumps is that they will start working effectively in the morning once the temperature has reached 40 with sun on the unit and 45 on overcast day. (I suspect it has to do with the warmth of the rooftop unit). Once we have had the heat pumps on all day, they will provide effective heat into the mid-30's. Once they cool down again it takes a return to the 40-45 temp before they work well.
This is about a week's experience so far.

The in line thermostat that I referenced in message 20087 is the one that controls the cut off point, which is around 30 degrees. Since it's located in the unit on the roof, it is affected by the sun..It's there to turn off the heat pump at that point so that the coils don't freeze up....

Blower motor went out in front ac/heat pump unit. Had the blower motor replaced and now ac works fine but compressor doesn't start in Heat Pump mode.
Any help appreciated.
