This is a follow-up to my problem where my fresh water tank kept slowly filling up when connected to city water. The fresh water pump would also come on occasionally when not connected to city water.
Well, thanks to this forum, the solution was in-fact, a new fresh water pump. Apparently there was a bad check valve inside the pump that is supposed to prevent the water from back-flowing into the fresh water tank when connected to city water. To verify this, I disconnected the water line that connects the back of the pump to the fresh water tank and could see the water dripping out of the pump at about 80 drops per minute. After I installed the new pump, the problem went away. Thanks for all the valuable inputs.
