Title: Battery replacement

One of my 2 cranking batteries is dead. When replacing cranking batteries should you replace both if they are approx 6 years old or is replacement of the one OK.

Replace both. Battery capacity needs to be balanced for them to work as a pair. If you only replace one it will do all the work and have a short life.

Replace both. When the age of the new are so far apart, you will wind up with a sub par battery bank. The bank will be just as good as your weakest battery.
