I am enroute to Florida and am needing some info regarding the highway situation and campground situation along the Gulf Coast. Anyone traveled that route recently???

We just came through that area a couple of weeks ago. Rv park availability was non-existent from Mobile until just west of Tallahassee ( on I-10). . I don't remember the name of the park, but it was in the Trailer Life directory. I'm not at the coach now, but will follow up tomorrow if you want me to.
We couldn't find anything available in South Florida ( Ft Lauderdale area).
I"m not much help, but you might want to check out the one near Tallahassee.

Thanks Walt, we have not heard of this situation. We are headed for the Nascar race and then to the Keys, hope we can find a spot. By the way, what was the fuel situation??

The fuel availability was no problem. If memory serves me correctly, I paid $2.599 around Gainesville. Re RV parks, none of those around Pensacola were answering thier phones. Also, the I-10 bridge over Escambia Bay is one lane eastbound and can cause delays around rush hours. There are signs to direct you up to US 90 (or 190, I can't remember which) to go aound the bridge. We went through early afternoon with no problems.
Good luck,
