I was crawling around under the coach trying to see where my coolant was going (I'm losing some) and noticed what looks like many rust spots on the radiator grid just in front of the fan. Can't see any wet spots. Is this the tell-tale sign of a leaking radiator? Thanks for any insight.

larry, I just had my radiator done. took all the water out and flus it out. I, also have some rust . But was told it was ok at this time.
My leak was at the other end of the rv.the line to the heather was leaking. fixed it and all is ok at this. Do not know if this is of any use to you or not? You have to go unter the frw. part, the line is way up at the top, not easty to get to. But you can. The other leak I had at one time was the filter for the radiator water. It was leaking right at the turn off to replace the filter. Good Luck Capt. DAN # 30498 20000 Allure

Larry

I to have seen the rust looking spots on the radiator grid and after reading your post I though it would be to find out what is going on. I used a Q tip with most of the cotton remove and soaking it with a little WD40 and wiped over the spots. No rust came off but I did have flakes of black paint. WOW-- then light went on the grid is made of copper sprayed with a coat of black paint the paint has blistered off leaving the copper showing.

If I were paint I would also blister if subjected to high winds and heat of some 200 deg.

I don't think we have a problem what do you think?
