Re: [Country-Coach-Owners] Regarding Lemon Law Well said to all of you who have supported CC. No, my new coach isn't perfect, and has had some troubles, both as a result of CC and components. But, that is part of RV'ing. We have had both good and bad RV's of the same make and know it can happen to any of them, no matter what the brand.
We've found CC to be very responsive to our questions and helped us get a mobile tech when we broke down.
I sure hope this group doesn't turn into the bashing type like where we came from! I appreciate the info. we receive from you all about dealing with our CC. We're not new to RV'ing or diesels, but new to CC.
Let's stay helping each other and not use this group as a place to attack others just because they have a different opinion. I've seen enough of that garbage on other groups.

I'm not sure but if the coolant is blue it is probably Fleetguard ES Compleat Propylene Glycol. Its tough stuff to find.

I buy it at Beaudry and other big RV dealers. Most Cummins places can get it it you will buy a whole case. I think the only advantage to the propylene glycol is if someone's pet drinks it if it leaks.

Ray,

I don't know what part of the country you are in, but the Cummins dealer in Memphis(Midsouth Cummins) carries the Propylene glycol and you can buy it by the gallon jug. I also found it in Knoxville at the Cummins dealer. I found that when I checked the price at some of the Rv dealers it was about twice the price as buying it direct from cummins.

Hi Larry; YES, both Lazydays and the Tampa Cummins parts place sell the Propylene Glycol 50/50 Compleat Pre-mix. I know because I have purchased from both places.

I was told by CC that there are two advantages of Propylene Glycol over Ethylene Glycol...

First... if your coach has the hydronic heating system and develops even a tiny leak in any fitting in the coach, the Propylene Glycol creates much less odor (toxic gas). If you've been reading this forum for very long, you may recall several people telling stories of the horrible smell from the use of Ethylene Glycol.

Second... if there is any leakage from the coolant into your water system via the heat exchanger in the water heater (if your coach is equipped as such) you'll have less chance of any toxic poisoning.

I always carry a couple extra gallons of the Propylene just in case.

Thanks Bob! That's good info. LD wants $21.50 per gallon. Hope Tampa Cummins has it for $14. Didn't know the problem you mentioned about the heater. Yes I have that system and it makes sense about the smell.

Bob,

We use boiler coolent in our Hydro hot, which is a none toxic coolent. This was recommended by the Hydro Hot people to avoid contamination of the water system in case the water jacket breaks. The stuff is hard to find and not cheap. Sometimes you can buy it at FMCA rallies from the Hydro Hot teck.

YIKES! Larry. The 2 gallons I bought last year at LD were only $12 and change each!
