Let me try to put your mind at ease a bit. Think of the bedroom floor engine access as being in two basic pieces. Piece one is the large one which is just on top of the first step up. It is about two feet by three feet. The two feet being towards the closet. This piece has three parts---first, the carpet; second a plywood panel that the carpet is attached to; third, a heavier wood panel that has about four 3/8 inch bolts holding it down. This panel and the one above it are joined with velcro. Just pull the first piece of plywood up (you will have to pry it somewhat) with the carpet attached. Then unbolt the lower panel and you are there. Now, there is another piece as I mentioned in the second sentence above. This one is the small step into the closet. You can leave it in place and the large panel will slip under the front of it about an inch or so. When you reassemble it will be near impossible to keep the carpet threads out of the seams and thus the seam will always show. There may be a way to comb the carpet threads up to keep them out of the seam but I have not been very successful at that chore. Finally, as someone mentioned, if you look up in your engine compartment you will see the bolts and panel sections. This will help you to visualize where everything is located. Hope this helps and that I have not confused the issue.

the engine. We were wondering if we had to take apart the closet door > assembly to get at it. Sure doesn¹t look easy.
 We really like our CC, but I gotta say our last SOB had very easy engine

access. Always trade offs!
