I tried to find a Yahoo chat group for Thousand Trails members, but could not find on. Maybe a member of this group can help me.
We are planning to spend a few days visiting the Natchez Trace Thousand Trails preserve in Tennesee this summer. I know that there is a very low underpass (only 11 feet) and I also know that there is a 13.5 foot tall bypass. But, I've never been there and I have no idea what the rest of the camp is like. Is this a place where I can easily navigate my 40 Country Coach? What are the roads in the preserve like? What are the campsites like? Is there anything I should be made aware of prior to our visit?
I'm not expecting this particular TT location to be a resort style place, but I'm wondering what it will be like.
I'd be happy to hear from anyone who has been to this Thousand Trails location.
Thanks in advance for your help.

We have been to the Thousand Trails Campground at Natchez Trace, but it has been about 3 or 4 years.
Yes there is a bypass around the low bridge. By the directions in the TT Directory after you turn off of the Trace, you make a sharp right, then get on the left side of the road to take the gravel bypass.
The last time we were their the interior roads at campground are paved, but was in bad condition. Hopefully by now, they have repaved the road. We also have a 40 foot, an had no problem. Of course we choose a site that was a challenege to get level, but our friends in SOB that were 40 foot had no problem leveling.
The Trace is absolutely beautiful to tour around. It is a little drive to go up Nashville. We did do it, but made for a long day.
Sorry can't remember much about camp sites.
