Your remarks to Mike were well taken. We have Intrigue 36' # 11021 as second owner Galley's open.
Our previous owner purchased several extras to embellish the basic package. Power cable real, Plastic shield on front of coach, 350 HP engine, washing machine, diesel generator, and more, which made coach much more desirable.
It has been my observation however that all the changes to the coaches have not always been for the good. Many are.
In talking to some of the CC mechanics, I feel the 2 cylinder hydraulic activation of the slide out for the galley is superior to the new 4 cylinder unit. Fewer parts, easier to service, and I don't like that large wood cornice above the slide. I think the storage tray under the sofa was lost.
Note that the higher end units still use the 2 cylinder system. The new Lexus however has the system that will probably take over all the job in that it totally does away with hydraulics. Ball screw drive.
As owner of an Intrigue of the same vintage as mine you have probably suffered the fatigue of the hatch arm brackets. This is caused by the doors filling up with water. The new brackets which look exactly like the old, are almost 2 time heavier. Yes some changes are better.
I will send you a picture of how I cured the problem of busting your knuckles up unlatching the slide tray latch.

Hey let me know how you solved the problem with busting your knuckles while opening the slide tray as soon as you can. We are always doing that. We also have a 40ft. 2000 Intrigue. We are only weekenders though, but we have a lot of fun with our coach.

It only took a few times busting my knuckles to realize there had to be a better way to operate the slide out tray. CC of coarse has now changed the tray and to a significant level of improvement. Have no idea if they are more expensive or not but if so it is probably worth it. The new mechanism completely eliminates the problem, plus better quality all around. I will try an attachment of one picture, but if you link to the listed web site (not related to the subject) there are several pictures including my ladder rack. By the way Target now has a 4 step all aluminum ladder at a very nice price, to reach those bugs.
