I have a 1994 Magna with a Splendide 2000 combo washer/dryer. I want to remove the unit. I hade some measurements and it looks like it might not fit throuhg the door. Any one ever done this? Also I have two barralel chairs that I want to replace with a recliner. Again, looks like a pretty tight fit. Comments?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

I can tell you that the barrel chair will not fit thru the door. I tried once to replace with a massage lounger. The Lounger would go thru but not the barrel chair. Either take the chair apart, which renders it useless or take out a window. In my case I had to replace one side of the windshield, so all worked out well.

I replaced one barrel chair with a compact size recliner in our 96 Intrique and it was difficult to say the least? I ended up ripping the chair up trying to remove it from the M/H and the recliner had to be dismantled and re-assembled once inside. Sometimes its more than a hassle? Good luck on the washer/dryer. I just left mine in although we never use it1

Might want to make sure because a lot of that stuff comes in thru the passanger windshield.

In the Splendide web you will see dimensions or your unit. If it will not fit thru door, your door is smaller than mine.
Have you checked size of escape window? It probably has red handle to release it from frame for escape.

Splendide resale value may be less than bother of having it; consider removing Splendide in parts. After top, bottom, weight & drum are removed, sides will fold near flat.

When we purchased our Splendide washher/dryer it was brought into the coach in one piece through the non slide bedroom window. If you measure yours, you will probably find that it will go through turned on its side. John

Thanks to all who have made suggestions. For a while I thought I would have to resort to "Sawzall and safety glasses". But John's suggestion of the bedroom window will probably handle everything. It measures over 28" high. Will probably make the switch next week an Kolaw RV just east of Joplin MO.
