My ABS light is on. Has anyone had this problem before? Any words of wisdom? Any insight is appreciated.

Mine was on last trip to LD ... they said a wheel speed sensor was not adjusted properly. It still comes on occasionally, then goes back off. It says in the manual there is no danger related to its coming on, but to have it checked out.

There's a switch in the compartment under neath the drivers position with a clear plastic handle. that will flash an error code when properly activated.
Informing you of where the problem exsists. Call Tech support and they can run you thru the proceedure. TWI

Larry, if you have had your coach battery disconnected for any reason it will cause the ABS light to come on until you have driven a few miles. At least that is what ours did on two occasions. If you haven't done so yet, try driving around the block and see if it goes out. I also had it come on one time while doing a lot of manuevering into a site with the tag axle up. After 10 minutes driving the next day the light went out. In my case the switch in the front compartment showed no codes.

John,

The ABS light will come on when the tag goes up and you hit a high spot in the road or go down a driveway. The wheel senor tells the ABS that it needs to activate. You can make it go out by stopping and turning off the engine and then it will reset until the next time you use the tag and hit a bump. We have learned to run with it on but it bothers my wife.

Larry:

I had the same thing happen and it usually will go out after a while. The first time it happened, I counted the flashes on the lighted switch found in the forward most driver's side bay and called CC. Your manual can provide more information regarding the switch and its flashes.
Their response was that it will go out after a while and may come back on occasionally. Not to worry unless it remains on, even then it is not a hazardous condition, just get it checked when you have an opportunity.

Mine came on and stayed on, but there was a fault code that showed up on the VMS screen. Butch Williams from CC worked on it at Eugene last Sept. and found that a connector had come uncoupled behind the passenger side rear wheels. He corrected it and it seems fine now.

Larry, I assume you have a tag axle. Lowering this while moving, especially while turning, can cause an uneven movement of the wheels resulting in the ABS system thinking one wheel is skidding. In the compartment under the driver there is a gray toggle switch at the rear about half-way up. This resets the warning light----not immediately, but as soon as you go down the road. Someone on this board said we should never use this switch, but a CC tech told me about it and I've used it many times with no problems.

Thanks for all the replies! This gives me something to work with. I don't have a tag axle, but my light came on during a sharp turn to the right while parking. I tried the switch and it gave me a series of blinks but I will have to call CC to find out what they mean. The light is still on, but I haven't driven it yet. Thanks again.
