I received emails from Beaudry, the first being similar to the one already posted, so I will not post it here. After my response to that (and another one that isn't necessary to post either,) I also received this update on their security and the incidents I verified with the Pima County Sheriff.

Anyhone can follow up on the situation with Beaudry to make sure improvements are made or to offer suggestions. You can also check with the Pima Sheriff's office for crime statistics in the future that will tell you what has happened there. Regardless of where we stay, anywhere in the country, it behooves us to be alert and not complacent about personal security under any circumstances. Being a victim of a crime is always traumatizing. So be safe!

"Hi Ms. Mancillas,

Here is a status report on Beaudry RV security.
I have been scrutinizing files and, besides the two recent burglaries in question, have found only one other motor home burglary that occurred in the Beaudry RV Resort. This occurred on December 4, 2004.
On the same night, another individual alleges that somebody siphoned gasoline from an unsecured tank.

To my knowledge and what I have been able to ascertain, I believe that all other burglaries in question were of Beaudry stock units displayed in the resort or stored in a lot NW of the resort. As you can imagine, that type of scenario - numerous unoccupied coaches packed closely together in a secluded area - is an attractive nuisance to the dishonest elements of society. Since that time, security has improved, and those incidents have greatly decreased.

During the recent interim, Beaudry RV Resort has hired a second security guard for patrols and monitoring the Country Club Gate.
Additionally, we are receiving contractors bids to increase perimeter wall and fence security, hopefully without compromising aesthetics.
Electronic surveillance devices are also under consideration. We are confident that security has and will continue to improve.

Thanks again for taking the time to voice your concerns.

Regards,

Rich Wiersma, Risk Manager"
