Stan, I looked at the website and so far I'm not to impressed. Maybe when I get a touchy feely I might have a different opinion. I just have a problem with the pin breaking thru the insulation and I would also worry about the current carrying capability.

Stan,
I've used posi-lock connectors for a couple years in at least two applications: on a backup camera fuse holder connections and for water pump connections. No problems (so far). Easy to use and very strong connections as far as I can tell.

Not sure when these connectors went on the market but I used them on my last coach, at least three years ago, when reconfiguring my battery monitoring gauges. They performed flawlessly. I obtained mine from a local electronics store and probably wouldn't have tried them had I found them at Wal-Mart first. Guess we learn something new everyday.

Posi-Locks have been around for awhile. I used them at least two or three years ago and so far no problem. It is probably that Wal-Mart just started stocking them. I got mine at a NAPA store.

Posi-Locks have 3 advantages. One, they can be installed without tools after the wire is stripped. Two, manufacturing cost is low without any metal parts or assembly costs. 3, no different metal to enable galvanic corrosion.
Two disadvantages are apparent after one use of Posi-Locks. One, insulation of correct size wires would not fit in Posi-Lock connector as it would in a crimp connector for wire support. Two, connections failed pull test.
