Our Intrigue is 7 years old and we still LOVE IT. We just don't love the stained carpet. Has anyone tried laminate-type flooring (Pergo) in the salon or even matching the tiles in the kitchen area and installing them throughout the front living area? We'd love to get away from carpeting, but would like to know the pitfalls before we try it. Thanks! Carol and Bill Risser

Not in our RV, but in our house, we had part tile and part carpet.
When hurricane Charley messed up our carpet, we replaced it with a different tile. We found a border tile pattern that was used between the existing tile and the new. It made a handsome transition. I suggest that if you do replace carpet with another tile, you consider using a "border" strip in between. Your tile supplier can show you alternatives.

Just a couple of thoughts...1. Noise factor 2. cold factor 3. extra weight of tiles

If you can get to Junction City, OR (the factory town), Country Side RV Interiors can help you. The did the installation of our warranty carpet replacement and did a great job. They can also do tile with heat. I wouldn't do tile without the heat system unless you never get to cold climates. The parts of our tile that don't have heat get really cold in 30-40 degree weather.
