I'm a little leery of tag axels. More tires, more complex machinery, less storage and higher tolls. I'll have a better idea if the 2 axel coach is adequate after a major trip this summer. But if you need the weight carrying capability, it may be the only choice. My Inspire empty with full fuel, propane and water (wet weight) is 1000 lbs under the rear axel maximum. Of course, I'll seldom drive with full water tank.

We love our 2004 Inspire. We have 17,000 miles to date and went from Los Angeles to Boston last summer with no issues. THe coach is spacious (40' triple slide), great ride and easy to handle. I spend at least 4 days every month tinkering and working on all items except the engine and transmission - leave that for the experts. We have looked at moving up to an Allure but the increase in price is not justified in my mind. The Inspire is a complete coach.
