Has any one been able to temporally disable the wind speed monitor that is on the roof. The one that is designed to tell the awnings when to retract.
Driving down the road at 60 MPH results in quite a noise over the copilots head.
Any Solution that doesn't require climbing on top of the coach would be appreciated.
Thanks,

I would check the mounting of your monitor. I've never heard mine.

Our monitor does not make any noise either. I'd suggest calling CC or Carefree.

Thanks everyone,
It appears a call to CC or the awning company is in order. We thought, as it is a new coach, the noise was normal. After everyone's comments, it appears it may be loose at the pivot point, thus the noise. Looks like an easy fix to replace it.

Girard and others. The only time that I have had a noise problem is when one of the three cups broke off. This leaves the spinner unbalanced and it vibrates a lot. My only temp solution was to climb up on the roof and break off the remaining two cups. That stopped the noise until I could replace the sensor unit. Check to see if one cup is missing. Sorry but if that is the case then you have to get up there and break of the other two or live with it until you can get it replaced. BTW the spinner cannot be replaced but the whole unit must be dug out of the caulking and replaced. If you do it yourself you will have to splice some wires. Last time I talked to Girard (over two years ago) they said that the spinner is good for about 20,000 miles before plastic fatigue sets in.
