Our heat pump quit working on the front unit last night.
Fifty degress outside so that should not be it (Polk City, FL), and it worked last time we tried it, about two weeks ago.
Tried resetting both the thermostat and the breaker to the unit.
Taking it to LD soon for the transmission cooling thing, and will have them take a look, but just curious what it might be. The compressor is coming on, according to the current draw, just cold air.

Our porch light over the front door burned out awhile back. I climbed up and took the lens off, and its all corroded. What a sucky design. The plastic lens just pops off ... no weather sealing.
Is there a replacement unit avail. We are taking the MH back to IL soon, and will work on it there, but I wondered what others are doing about this.

I just read about that valve on the Duotherm site ... I assume it will cool but not heat if thats the case.
I hope we can get into LD before we leave. But that least we will have air for awhile if this is the problem.
Verified the compressor is running by watching the current draw for just the fan, and then heat pump mode.
