This morning while bringing in the slides so we could take the coach to service at Beaudry, our living room driver side slide "hung up".
The front ram didn't keep up with the rear ram, the slide got cockeyed, and I had to give it a "push" to get it to go in. I couldn't find anything obviously wrong, Chris Snyder of CC who is stationed at Beaudry couldn't find anything wrong, and its working fine now. Has anyone had this happen and found a cause/effect? Its a little unnerving heading to the wilds of New Mexico with a slide that might be getting ready to fail.

I believe it says in the manual to hold the button down for awhile while moving in and out, after they have stroked out, to let the cyls equalize . This prevents the one cyl from getting out of sync with the other slighlty and binding the slide. I think there is a tiny hole in the piston in the equalizing cyl that lets one cyl move in relation to the other if necessary.
I might be way off on this, but you should check with the service guy and HWH.

It could be air in the system. Make sure you bring the slides in all the way till you hear a pitch change in the motor. Do not stop part way in or out and go in the opposite direction. This will introduce air into the system. You can stop but continue in that direction till it is all the way in or out.

John/Joe, thanks for the suggestions. My better half most always operates the slides and is especially careful to run the slides all the way out and all the way in until the pump stall sound starts.
Maybe it was a fluke. I'm going to check with HWH just to be on the safe side unless it happens again today in which case I'll be calling them to figure out the problem. Again, thanks for the suggestions.
