Hi guys,
I just bought an 04 Allure. I have found the disconnect switch for the chassis battery, and a switch at the front entry door for the inside house. My question is there another main disconnect for the house batteries that kills power completely? I have it stored now, but the switch at the entry does not kill all the power, which of course leaves a small draw on the house batteries. If there is no disconnect switch, do you set the auto gen start? or keep it plugged in? CC is telling me there is no other switch which seems odd.
Thanks
Brian

The Allure just has two disconnects, and you found them both. I have my Allure stored and leave the Auto Gen Start on and it works great!!
I have track of the generator usage, since it has been stored and it looks like it runs the generator about two hours every three weeks.
Not a bad price to pay to keep the batteries up and ready to go.

There are no other disconnects of which I am aware. I have added 240 watts of solar panels and a Solar Boost 2000E and leave my Gen start set to start at 50% and shut down at 90%. The solar will maintain batteries perfectly except in the winter when I also run the hydro hot to prevent freeze up. In this way the coach is completely self sustaining. In Albama there only about 40 nights a year below freezing. This last winter was about normal. I added about 20 hours of gen run time during cold and cloudy periods. With proper maintenance of the systems this should be a low risk self supporting process.

Our 2006 Inspire did not have a house battery manual disconnect, as the chassis battery. We found, that without a total disconnect, ( just using inside the door disconnect ) that the house batteries would be dead in a few days. I installed a Cole Hersee manual disconnect ( like the chassis ) and have no problems with periods of storage. Was not a big deal and also feel it was certainly a safety issue without a way to secure the house battery power. Ned #51677

When re-energizing (after having disconnected your house batteries)..... must you re-program or reset any devices? e.g. back-up camera? hydro-hot controller?
What current rating Cole-Hersee switch did you buy?

Ned can you give me the data also? I was told that the complete turn off would shut down little computers working in the coach. I know the inverter must be off. I added solar panel and issue of battery life has not be a big deal this winter. Off course I live in "Sunny California" Thanks,
Thank you,

sure why the message is short of some info. Let me know if that works for you. I have not had any problems with the necessity to reset anything. Your solar system is hot to the batteries isn't it ? If so, should not be an issue. Ned
