I have a 99 Intrigue, and recently upgraded to 80 series tires and I am now being told that both the transmission and the Cummins have to be reprogrammed. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Try this link they have most tires listed. I went from 10R22.5 to 275/R80 22.5 and they were the same diameter, so no changes in RPM http://www.dickmantires.com/ (http://www.dickmantires.com/) Jack

I had my tires changed to 80s' before trading the coach a year and half later, with no ill affects. The only thing is that your speedometer and odometer will lie about 6 mph slow @ 65 mph=71going down the road. The tranny shifts based on engine rpm's, boost, etc as delivered by the engines ecm info interpreted by the trannys computer with input from internal sensors. I have 12r's now with an updated 3000 tranny and a Isl, which turns 50 rpm max less than an ISC, and my error is 2mph with the same gear ratio.
You can't overrev the engine unless you place the tranny in neutral with you foot on the throttle, and or return it to an lower gear from neutral while in motion and then you will crash the tranny, and who knows what else. If you're in neutral at a stop, becareful to wait after you have re-engaged the tranny not to touch the throttle or you over torque the drive train. TWI 98 Allure 30255, Intrigue 11731 2004
