Hi, here's the scenario... I have a sizeable $$$ deposit on this next coach, pending this item correction...
ISL370 w/Silverleaf, '03 Allure
Silverleaf shows 55* oil pressure, whether the engine is hot or cold, idling or cruise speed, hot oil or cold oil, doesn't matter....
CC tells me they ALL do this with the ISL engine for some unknown reason, but not with the ISC engine??
Anybody else have this malady?? did you correct it and how ??
My point is this, what's the point of an expensive monitoring device if it doesn't work in the proper fashion??
Also, ISL users, what's your INDICATED dash oil pressure at HOT idle speeds?? this one shows about 5-8* at HOT idle speed, that bothers me....
thanx, Jim

Jim, I answered you on RV Net Forum also. The reason that the Silverleaf always displays 55PSI is because the input, as supplied by Cummins, is binary. It only reports oil pressure status to the ECU as either OK or not OK. The Silverleaf displays OK as 55PSI.
The hot oil pressure as indicated on the dash analog gauge is as you have said. Around 5 to 10 PSI at idle after a hot run.

Jim,
We have an ISL400 w/Silverleaf, 04 Intrigue. Our oil pressure is 80# cold and 35# after about an 8 hour run give or take. This is both on Silverleaf and on gauge.
