My toilet does not work properly. The blade opens, the toilet flushes, the blade closes and immediately opens again. To close the blade I must press both flush buttons as if I wanted to open the blade from the closed position. This is an intermintent problem sometimes the blade works as designed. Sometimes the blade gets stuck in the closed position and must manually opened with the knob in the rear of the toilet.
Has anyone had this problem? I think it may be a limit switch but I can't figure out where the limit switch is located and the Thetford web site is no help.

Re: [Country-Coach-Owners] Thetford "Aria" ToiletNo problems yet. So far it is working well and not having a mind of it's own. Good luck.

I have been having the same intermittent problem with the exception of having to use the knob in the rear.
I spoke with Thetford support last year and they said that was the first they have heard of the toilet ending the cycle with the blade in the open position. They said I should bring it to one of the Thetford Service Centers. I talked with the Thetford service guy at the Tucson service center and was told that they could do nothing unless they could reproduce the fault. That could take a lot of flushing.
To date it continues appear occasionally. I'm just living with the issue, pressing both buttons when necessary.
When I called Thetford last August, I spoke with Sheila whom documented the issue.

Mine worked on delivery of my coach but quit working completely on the drive home. Mine turned out to only be a ground wire at the back and base of the toilet but the repair place was prepared to replace the part that contains the two buttons. I can't remember what they called it but it is the controller. That piece pops out easily and the entire thing gets replaced if I remember correctly.
