We pulled into a casino parking area outside of Corning, CA. last night and I discovered that oil was leaking out of my passenger side wheel hub. I figured that a seal must have failed, so called CoachNet. I was underwhelmed by their people and process, so got on the net with my "Edge Card" and quickly found a couple of shops in the area. I called Corning Truck & RV Center next to the T/A Truckstop at the South St. exit off of I-5. They couldn't have been nicer, so I drove the rig a mile to their facility and they had a tech get right on the job. Luckily, it was just a plug that had popped out of the center of the hub. He put some more oil in and installed a new plug and I was on my way in half an hour. Fantastic service and friendly people. Their shops were full of RVs and trucks, yet they took us right in. They are an Onan and Cat service center, also. Good service needs to get plugged on this forum.
Calif. roads . . . they beat these rigs to death! Crumbling spots on I-5 are like having 9.7 magnitude earthquakes hit the rig every few minutes. It's a wonder these rigs hold together.

-Glen, Many of us have had the little red plug pop out and let our wheel get dirty. We just came through the same area Wednesday heading South. By the way what is your CC model and coach #? Macke '03 Magna #6277

What happens is the slit or hole in the plug becomes plugged up and the pressure from the oil heating up causes an expansion of the hot air. Usually it forces the oil out through the seal, which makes you think you have a seal leak. The solution is to clean the hole or slit with a pocket knife when you check the fluid level. This will stop the pressure from building up.-- In Country-Coach- Owners@yahoogroups.com (Owners@yahoogroups.com), "Glen Gieg" wrote:
