Just curious if any other 2001-2 Allure/Intrigue owners have experienced a shut down of the Allison electronic control module (ECM) when the chassis battery dropped to around 11.5 Volts. Ours went berserk, put the coach in 3rd gear, and left me on the side of the road in Drive unable to restart the engine. Unit has been towed and chassis shop is working on resetting the ECM but no easy fix yet.
Once they get the ECM to reset and get the coach started, then we have to figure what is making my 2nd set of 3 new batteries in 9 months not charge properly. Had an original and a replacement Invertrix unit, but now have the Trace system. Battery level indicator has been all over the scale with no consistent readings and periods of time when the Trace doesn't seem to be charging 100%.
Sure would appreciate any advice you have. As for me, my advice is NOT to shut down the engine immediately if the tranny LED goes blank and things don't feel right. Your engine may not restart! Guess in 3rd gear I could have slowly limped off the interstate to a safer spot to wait hours for a tow truck.
Oh Well, Live and Learn.

Question:
"chassis battery dropped to around 11.5 Volts" is this the voltage output of the alternator at the time the Allison shut down ??
