We were dry camping earlier this week. First time we have used both the generator and inverter for extended hours. Used the inverter long enough to almost drain the coach batteries. Duh.
Not enough juice left to turn over generator motor. Called CC on mobile phone. Service tech had me back in business in two minutes. Thanks Loren.
I learned two things that are probably buried in the manuals but just in case I will post the solution in case someone else can use the information.

1. The battery boost switch on the drivers control panel will boost the power to the generator starter the same way it boosts power to the chassis battery if that is low.
To use this you need two people, unless you have very very long arms. LOL
2. The starter switch on the side of the generator has a pre heat position clearly marked.

The rocker switch in the control panel above the entrance door only shows "start" and "stop".
According to the technician, holding the rocker switch in the stop position for a few seconds also causes a pre heat situation for the glow plug, thus assisting the starting procedure.

I didn't know this.

Maybe I am the only CC owner in the country that had to find this out the hard way, but just in case the information is useful to anyone I am posting it here.
