Hi All,

We are looking to upgrade our toad and looked at the 2006 Saturn Vue today. We were pleasantly surprised and wondered if those of you out there would let us know how you like yours. I know a lot of Saturns are out there and the best info is from past or current owners. Feel free to contact me directly also.

Thanks for all your help!

Some friends of ours replaced their old CR-V Honda in preference to the Saturn. There was more cargo space behind the rear seat the rear access door was bigger and the details of fit, finish, quality of materials were all judged to be better. The Saturn has a Honda V-6 under the hood with a GM tranny, ever wonder why?The Cr-V has a very good 4-cylinder, for better milage. However, this will be the last year for towing, as Honda will change the design of the unit for 07. My Odessy has been great, but in the future, who knows?

Go Hummer H3, I have one and like it a lot. I have brakes the whole works.
Tows like my Jeep and get just about the same milage. If you want more details just let me know.

Thank you,

Interesting. The '06 Odyssey has a Honda transmission built in Japan, the rest of the vehicle is pretty much built in US.

Does the Saturn Vue have the Honda engine with the latest gas saving devise VTEC, where when running level three cylinders shut down to conserve fuel?

I bought the Saturn Vue primarily to be used as a toad. I do think its a good choice for a few reasons.
I went with the 4 cylinder that gets great mileage and keeps the total weight down around 3300#. Also, the 4 banger makes the car more American, if you choose NOT to go with the 6 cylinder made in Japan.
All passenger seats fold down and you end up with about the same cargo space as a small pickup truck. Great for light weight bulky items like golf clubs and bikes.
Easy to tow, pull one fuse, ignition on and shift the manual to neutral.
No painted surfaces below the front bumper line to chip.
If you go with supplemental brakes, the UTB fits under the drivers seat out of sight.
With a Roadmaster rockguard, the car becomes extremely well protected from road damage.
The 4-cylinder Vue is a great car around town, but if you do alot of highspeed freeway driving you need to go with the larger engine.

We have been towing our 2002 Vue since it was new. We have the four cylinder which gets great mileage. We had to get the manual transmission becasue in 2002, the automatics could not be towed. The Vue has served us well as a toad and as a great utility vehicle too.

Hi,

We have the '04 6cyl Vue 2wd and love it. Towing is a sinch and gets

good mileage...great power... fun to drive. We have towed it for two

years now. I would get another one without hesitation. BTW this is the only new vehicle I have ever bought that after two years and 20K miles the inside of the exhaust pipe looks just as clean as the day we

drove it off the lot.

Buy one ... you woun't be disapointed.
