Hi To All, as we said a week ago, we are selling our 05 Affinity. Does anyone in the group have suggestions as to the best sites online to list the coach? We currently have it on: rvonline.com, rvhit.net, sellrv.com, in the upcoming FMCA mag and the upcoming Destinations. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated. (p.s. we might already have it sold, but haven't seen any green yet!!!). So we need to get it out there for viability this week-end. We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday.

I am just curious since we might do the same thing next year, but why not trade ?? Do they beat you up that badly. We traded our DS on our Affinity, and didn't do too bad.
We sold the Journey when we got the DS, and got killed, took 4 months. My wife said 'never again'.

Hi John and Terri, well, to answer your question about selling the Affinity rather than trading it. We will get wholesale if we trade which is about $470k and if we sell it the NADA is $593k. So if I trade it then a dealer makes the difference and the customer pays more. When we sell it, the customer will save $75k or so, get an extended warranty (which is worth about $8k if purchased on a used rig...we bought it on the rig when it was new so it cost a little less), and be a happy camper. We have sold 4 rigs like this and everyone has been extremely happy. We are pretty nit-picky about our rig (aren't we all!!!) maybe more-so than some. We also have driven and used this MH, but not lived full time in it. By using it we find the things that are wrong or need fixing. If someone owns a rig and it sits in storage nothing malfunctions, seals, hoses and belts dry up, oil doesn't circulate and then when someone does start using it there can be a multitude of problems. I am digressing...sorry....but we have a friend who has a Newell, stored it for one summer in Palm Springs, and from then on it leaks everywhere, window, a/c's, roof, etc.
To make a long story short, when someone buys this rig they will NOT have to trouble shoot it....it is already done. Everything is working perfectly and I will not let the next owner take it until everything is working if anything goes wrong between now and the sale.
We just had the newly designed radiator installed. To replace a radiator is (we were told, don't know this for gospel) about $9k. With the extended warranty it only cost $50.00 out of pocket.
The other thing that many people do not know is that the engine, transmission and HWH respective warranty is for original owner ONLY, NOT transferable...hence the extended warranty takes over for the second owner. If that person sells it is transferable to the third owner. 7 yrs/ 80,000 miles which ever come first.
Sorry to be so long winded...I just couldn't explain it well in fewer words.
Have a great rest of the week-end! If you know anyone looking for a great pre-owned Affinity, please send them our way!!!

Thanks for the time and effort you put in your response. I certainly didn't know this about the engine and tranny warranty. Wow.
I certainly understand and agree with your thinking ... we just had really lousy luck selling our Journey. Luckily we had room in our shop to store it ... an indoor showroom ... but noone ever showed up to look at it.
Maybe we will try again if we get another coach.
I wish you the best of luck in your efforts, sounds like you have a plan.

Spoke Carolyn G @ CC and showed us the new Affinity floor plan similar to one used in Prevosts. Have you seen it? Have you seen the new Rhapsody under construction? Any thoughts? Liked the new pilot and co-pilot seats with lumbar support so well in Magna's and Affinitys, we installed a pair in our Intrigue.
Service department has totally changed since we were there last Oct. and Nov. No service writers anymore and you deal directly with the lead tech on your coach. He's the one that meets with you the first day, and he's the one that's with you at the end, and explains everything as you go along.
Met Wayne Vaughn, service mgr., and he's a very perceptive understanding person. He filled in, when Doug was covered with meetings. The techs and their assistants, each have their own bay and your coach stays with them. Everything is much smoother more efficent and with a bunch of the older more experienced techs back an entirely better experience reminding me of my great experiences in the 90's was enjoyed this time around. So out of 6 visits I would have to rate them as 4-10's an 9 and a 6. The six would have been a Nine if CC had their own paint booth for service. But I understand that there will be a new service center soon. Tom/Carol 2004 Intrigue 11731.

Tom, where did you get the new seats? Is there a part # or something? The lumbar support in our Intrigue is not very good and I would consider upgrading. We're also looking to upgrade our couch.

Kustom Fit the Mfg will not sell or quote prices to coach or big rig owners.
I didn't do any shopping around like I should but had CC parts order me a pair in time for my service visit. CC installed the chairs and I sold my old chairs to Northwest RV Supply. That saved me 10% and CC gave me 10% off, and by buying in Oregon saved another 8.125% sales tax. 2 chairs $4500.00, I would have probably saved $500.00 if I had used Intrigue chairs, have no clue what I would have saved if I had left off the heat and vibrator. I'm guessing Dale Holick wanted the 600 Cummins, but when they sat in the new chairs Candice was sold! Just joking!!!!!!
