Hi To All, I am writing this on behalf of a friend who owns a Country Coach but is not on the internet. He is wanting reccommendations for RV parks in and around the metropolitan area of Dallas Texas. He may be moving there and needs to know this information. I will pass any info on to him, thanks in advance! Have a good one, Candace Hollick 05 Affinity 6370

We have stayed at Cowtown RV, west of DallasFt Worth a bit (Aledo I think). We were in our 41' Dutch Star, but I think our 45' Affinity would fit fine.
I believe they have added some spots on the east side of the park for larger rigs. Check rvparkreviews.com, and check their web site.
Nice place ... not fancy ... we will be there again in Dec or so.

We just spent five weeks in Grapevine at the Vineyards Campground and enjoyed it immensely. It is a newly reopened Corps of Engineers park that is now operated by the City of Grapevine. Almost all of the sites are large enough for any size coach. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, right on the shores of Lake Grapevine. You would never know that you are in the middle of the Metroplex. We've stayed several places in the Dallas area and this one is a keeper. Do make reservations. The park is busy on weekends.

Right in the middle of the metroplex you'll find Treetops RV Park, in Arlington, Tx, about a mile off I20.. Very convenient location and nice park. Monthly rates are a very good deal.

Traders Village is located in Arlington jsut off I 20 and east of 360.
Make reservations and ask for the newer area. May be a little tight for 40ft and larger coaches but conviently located. Have not heard about the Grapevine park but will have to check that one out this summer.

Treetops, right off of the I20 in Arlington is fantastic. Check rvparkreviews.com for reviews of it and othe rv parks in that area.
I suggest the "new" section on the north side of Treetops for bigger rigs. Very easy pull in and very level.

I just spend a few days at Lewisville Lake RV Park, right on Lake Lewisville, Lewisville (or perhaps Denton), Texas. This is right off of I35E, north of Dallas. I chose this because it is about 2 miles from the house of the friend I was visiting. Reasonable cost, fairly nice. Verizon Wireless Data did not work there though, even though they were supposed to have Broadband available in the area. Perhaps the antenna I had would have helped, if only I had brought the adapter which goes between antenna and phone :-) They are in the process of installing WiFi, but who knows how long that will take.
My major complaint is that the 50 amp sites (or at least mine) had the rear part paved/repaved with very poor asphalt. Horribly scarred from levelling jacks, and one of my jacks broke all the way through, even with a plastic jack pad.
