California king adds 6 inch more width but that made all the difference with the tempur pedic, just had to round one corner more to not run into a cabinet when retracting the slide. take care Jerry

Hi Again Jerry,
My bed size charts are different than that. Mine says: Queen: 60x80 and most coaches have a 58x77 Expanded Queen or Calif Queen: 66x80 The new 05, 06, 07 have this size as an option and cuts down on the night stands by 6" California King 72x84
Eastern King 76x80
There are several models of Affinity and Magna's that offer a king bed as an option. I think it is a modified Eastern King, but not 100% sure.
I think the worst part about an in between size bed is getting sheets to fit. In our new coach we have ordered the expanded Queen 66x78 and I plan to buy Eastern King size linens. The sheets should be about right for length but 10" too wide. So I plan to use those garter type elastic straps under the mattress to secure the sheets. That is one good thing about air is that the mattress is so light it is easy to lift up for the straps.
What size sheets do you buy to fit your bed? I sure do not want to have them custom made, but I may have to do that.
The air bed that I am putting in might be able to help me with a source for sheets. If I find one I'll let the group know.
Thanks, Candace

Hello Candace, I just asked my wife and she said she buys California king sheets and since we cut the length a bit she has to tuck them in a bit more.
And our daughter works at a high end bedding store part time and seems to collect this Italian fine linen made with Egyptian cotton. It didn't make much sense to me to spend so much on sheets but once you do you can see why people buy the fine linens. So my wife and daughter have done a bit of redecorating both at the home and coach and I have to say it is a treat to sleep on those sheets so I have had to eat a bit of crow on that issue.
take care Jerry

Re: sheet size...solved that problem by buying only fitted sheets with FULL elastic. No problems with that. I actually got some awesome sheets at Tuesday Morning that have been great...cotton/poly...feel like silk...wash perfectly...fit nicely on our Intrigue's queen bed.
A few years ago, I adapted our original sheets by sewing full elastic all around, but if you look, you can find sheets (Hotel Brand in Bon Marche was one) that have them.
BTW, we found by adding a 2" "featherbed" from Bed Bath & Beyond, we got the mattress feeling we wanted without any change in mattress for now.
