This is a very easy fix. With the wipers parked, simply remove the cap nut holding on the wiper arm and pull the arm from the mount. Re- index the nut on the drive gear and replace the arm in the correct position.
Be aware that there is a lot of spring pressure on the joint at the base of the arm which can make it difficult to R&R without a tool.
You will need a good set of pliers or vice grips with protective covers so that you do not damage the paint on the arm.
