Has anyone driven from Sundance, Wyoming to Cody? I have heard that Alt 14 is not a good idea for a motorhome. If that is true, then which is better, 14 or 16? Thank you.

We took Alt 14 from Cody East toward Sheridan a few years ago and do not recommend it for any coach. We encountered steep grades (later learned 10% on several)and once committed there were no opportunities to change your mind and turn around. About half way up we took the toad off because we were concerned the coach would not be able to pull the grades with the extra weight. In Sheridan I told the people in the Info center that the road signs should specify No motorhomes or large vehicles recommended. They said we had come over "Ohmygod pass". By all means take 14!

Thank you Macke. We will definitely avoid "Ohmygodpass". What a nightmare!
