Hi Folks,

Anyone have a comment on the subject? A message on yahoo finance says NVH fired 160 employees.

Hi Fred,

It was said at the Class Reunion that NVH had another losing quarter so the firing is about the National product line. CC is actually hiring people and has increased market share this year. They made money for 12 quarters in a row. However CC is not going to increase production but hold it at 900 units per year for the next 3 years. Most of Nationals product line is in the sector that is hurting due to gasoline and diesel costs. The areas affected are the high end gasoline coaches and the low end diesels which is what National sells. No change in the low end gas or the high end diesel such as CC. Bluebird and Foretravel are also in trouble but that was going on before the diesel fuel cost went up. CCI is still working on the Rhapsody which will go after the Newel market but it will not be ready for a few months.
