Has anyone installed a dishwasher where the washer/dryer should be? My wife tells me she will be a lot more use from a DW than a washer/dryer...besides, most nice RV parks have a laundry facility anyway...

Thanks for the infomative posts. I am learning a lot.

We thought about it but not for long. The W/D is to far away from the galley and besides, I do a pretty good job of washing dishes. We much prefer to have our own W/D.

Hi, we had a dishwasher in our 2000 Affinity. We found that for two people it takes a few days to accumulate enough dishes to justify running the dishwasher. It just became a storage compartment unless we had company for dinner. We have had two coaches since that and have not had a desire to have another one. I usually do clothes in the w/d almost every day. I run load of darks one day and a load of whites the next day. This works for me...I would rather not do my clothes in a public Laundromat because of germs and bacteria from other peoples belongings. Some of those bugs are very virulent and live though washings if the water/chlorine/etc aren't enough to kill them. I had a friend who got a staph infection from a laundromat. That's probably the exception rather than the rule. I just prefer using my own stuff, that's one reason we have a motorhome, our own dishes, food, bed, w/d etc. We each have our quirks, that is what makes the world go round! Good Luck,

Well . . . I wish I had both of them! We have the Splendide
washer/dryer and use it every day when we are not dry camping. When we first got the coach, I didn't think we'd use it much - I was wrong! It is fantastic. Next coach upgrade I'll also want the dishwasher.

W/D for sure. Yes, they have laundromats in RV parks, but often they're busy, the machines are crummy, or we want to do something else that day...or it's raining. I like having the ability to do my wash when I want to, and know my stuff hasn't had the dog's rug washed in the washer before my towels!

I can't even imagine needing a dishwasher in a space this small. Also we get used to doing our dishes in a dishpan so that we can dump that water down the toilet so we sort of even off the black/grey tanks.
Otherwise you fill the grey tank way too fast. By adding the dishwater to the black tank we're also adding more water to that tank which is always good.

Keep on looking...it's out there!

No Option - Washer/Dryer is the Priority! As Candy said, you do a batch of wash whenever your heart desires. Then you are always caught up.
Dishwasher - no way - hand washing dishes keeps my finger nails clean!
