Anyone have a problem with the ABS on an '05? The idiot light is now lit on ours and have found that local truck guys don't want to go near it. Who makes the system and how does one get the code out to see whats wrong. Have called CC and am now waiting for the answers from them for a day now. Also trying to find out if this is a warranty item as part of the chassis...Thanks!

I can't tell from the e-mail re ABS what type of coach the writer owns, except that it's an 05.
On my 03 Allure there is a reset switch in the front left hatch ( under the driver ) which will kill the " idiot light " if the problem is intermittent. In my case if I put the tag axle down other than on a straight road, the light will usually come on due to different speed of each wheelopn the tag. If the writer has a tag, that is very possibly what is happening.

If you have an Intrigue, the owner's manual tells you how to get the code with the switch that the previous post mentioned (in the electrical compartment under the driver). If you haven't driven the coach since the light came on, try driving it. My ABS light comes on anytime I drive too far around a campground with the tag up. After I drive about 5 miles on the highway it goes out.

If you have a tag the ABS light will come on when ever you hit an irregular feature in the road when the tag is up. Like a pot hole or a ridge etc. It is because the tag scrapes the road and senses a need for the ABS to activate. You can turn off the light on the dash by turning off the engine for a few seconds. We stop at a rest area in the morning after leaving a campground to get the ABS light turned off, it is simple and not worth worrying about. Our 05 Mag is our second coach with this situation, just something you live with when you have a tag.

Recently I was driving my coach at night and noticed the dash ABS light was on. Does this indicate the ABS system is working properly or has a problem? Roger Streetman
