We have a 2000 Affinity and since owning it have had trouble trying to keep the rear view mirrors from looking dull. I believe they could be made of aluminum and can't be chromed. Does anyone out there have any suggestions other than spending $$$ to have them replaced. Thanks for all ideas, Jim Packard

One of the guys at the CCI rally was using a product called Never Dull. He got it at WalMart. I just did our mirrors this morning and it is unbelievable the difference. It is pretty easy and not expensive. I would try that.

Your mirrors may have been made by VELVAC. Check your mirrors. They are wonderful people. Contact them at www.velvac.com or 1 800 788- 8871. Some early mirrors were non-anodized aluminum and will require constant attention. Later were chrome and your polish job will last much longer.

Never Dull is a metal polish embeded in a cotton material that makes it easy to use. You just tear some off and use it untill it turns black. Then throw that piece away. (solves the problem of finding and storing rags). The product is better known to boaters so if you don't find it try a boating or marine supply store. Let me know how things work out.

At the rally in Pery, GA, Alcoa was showing their new wheel rims that never need polishing. No, our old rims can't be coated because the new process is in the metal itself. Were we born too soon or what.

The fellow next to us here in JC has a 1999 Affinity. Mirrors had dulled also, but he spent yesterday with some kind of polish and his rotary drill and a buffing pad and they look new today. I can find out what he used.

Do you know when CC started using the new wheels from Alco?

I don't think CC is using the new wheels yet--at least not on the 2003 Allure.
