My on-site service list changed a little from the time I spoke with Beaudry in Las Cruces and getting to the site in Beaudry.
1. Splendide washer/dryer was making a rattle during the high speed spin. They were going to pull it out at Las Cruces, but did not have parts there, so I suggested we wait until Beaudry. The rattle stopped, maybe because of them "feeling" the vent hose to see if they would have any problems pulling the W/D out in Las Cruces!!!! Doesn't rattle any more, so I removed it from my Beaudry on-site service list.
2. Sewage smell behind breaker panel whenever there was a slight negative pressure in the coach (fan on without enough windows open).
This was done on-site. Traced to vent pipe that did not extend through the roof far enough, actually not even through the vent collar. Therefore smell would be drawn through the roof hole from the vent. A second vent was also too short. NOTE: without the pipe going through the vent collar, water leakage into the coach would be possible during a driving rain, or heavy rain while driving!!!! I developed a new "Drakkar Noir" test to help locate the problem -- sprinkle some aftershave lotion down the vent!!!!!
3. Smartwheel died on the way to Tucson. Actually failed, started to work, failed, and worked. Lost cruise control control and wipers.
Added to list. They found a slightly loose molex connector near to top of the steering column where it connects to the printed circuit board.
4. Carefree awning adjustment - and part replacement if I wanted to
wait around for the parts. But will have it done at the Borrego Springs rally or by the CC Techs in Palm Springs (see another post I will make).
Did not check with many other coaches, but they were also doing a slide leak repair on one slide, and some form of delamination work on another slide -- saw the clamps in place on the edge of the slide overnight at their site. They would not do another coach's step cover on site because of the gravel pad underneath -- that would go into the shop.
