Traveling from West Coast to Perry had engine problems just before El Paso. Went into Rocky Mountain Cummins. They took care of problem and informed me that there was a Cummins "campaign to reset the ECM " and it was no cost to me. After leaving El Paso I noticed that everything on my info section on my silverleaf was wiped out, that is everything but
the mileage. I was getting 7000 mpg at that time. I wasn't worried as we were headed to Perry and I would get Silverleaf to reset. Wrong! They told me that it was a Cummins issue. Went to Cummins they said at first they couldn't do anything after some back and forth and a trip to South Power in Gainesville, GA They were able to put back in the 902 hrs they had taken off the engine but not the 5800 gallons of fuel.
They couldn't take off the mileage giving me a "New Engine". My Average mpg is now down to 190+ mpg. I guess that will never be accurite.
Has any one had this ECM reset done and what was the result?
