Ian, it has been awhile since I've looked at the under side of that switch. Two of those connectors are for your switch illumination when your lights are on. The third is chassis ground.(green) Circuit #178 goes all the way back to your boost/charge solenoid. If you look at the solenoid, CC has 12v positive on the switch portion of the solenoid. There are two wires on the ground side. One wire comes from the extra oil pressure sending unit, allowing the solenoid to close with the engine running. The other wire comes from the boost switch.
When you push the rocker switch, you are grounding the solenoid via circuit #178. Either way, your house batteries and chassis batteries are tied together to "Boost" or "Charge."
