I also was informed that if you place a bogus address in the beginning of your address book the virus would stop there. Not today's viruses. They know better. They will attach somewhere in the address book but not necessarily at the beginning. Check this out at (http://hoaxbusters.ciac.org/) (http://hoaxbusters.ciac.org/)). Best prevention is a good virus detection like Norton, about $29 per year and well worth it. But it's no good if you don't do the bi-weekly updates. Another good one which has a free download (the pay program is better and about $29) is ZoneAlarm. I run both and although virus come in, none has gotten past Norton Quarantine.
