Hello

Would like to get opinions/experience on above brand satellite antenna. Noticed several on new coachs but do not hear much about them.

Dean - we have had a motoSat for two years now - installed by Advanced Sattelite in Junction City. We have had no problems at all with it. Once in awhile we have a problem with the Direct TV service, but a phone call has always solved the problem.
There have been many times that we have watched other people in parks spend a whole bunch of time fooling around with their dish, and we thanked ourselves for being smart enough to get our MotoSat.

We also have been very satisfied with our Moto Sat. We purchased it from Cal Thorne of Advanced Sat. in Junction City as well. Give him a call - He can explain the different ones to you. He is very helpful.

We have a Moto installed by Precission Sat. in Florida and it works very well. Our's is the type with the blue light. We have had one LND go bad and that was replaced under their 3 year warranty. They shipped it to me and I installed it in 5 minutes. The factory worked with me on the phone, trouble shotting the unit to determine that it was the LND. This is the second coach that this dish has been on.

Dean,

I have been catching up with messages on this group, so I am sorry this is a late reply.

I had my motosat datastorm installed Nov.02 by Bill and Janet Adams- fellow Country Coachers who fulltime in their CC bus. I am so happy I have it since I am a fulltimer! It is very convenient, and I HIGHLY recommend them as installers because they support the system after the sale and you cannot believe how important that is!

Hughes and the VAR's ( ISP) as well as Motosat keep making changes to their parts of the system and you have to keep up with the changes. There are several user groups out there- one on Yahoo and another on datastormusers.com. Excellent resources. But be prepared to make tweaks and upgrades as part of ownership. I would still have the sytem, even with the recent aggravations due to changes, because it works very well and I have access everywhere! You can contact me if you have questions- or email Bill Adams and visit his website at
www.internetanywhere.us. It is really important that you get a dealer who is using the system and keeps up with all the changes and issues involved so you can get support. There are dealers who just install and haven't got a clue about how to use it ot what is happening when there are problems and tell you to call Motosat or whomever- then you are on your own. Not good...

Despite those occassional issues- I would recommend this for fulltimers in particular!
