I've had Progressive for five years. My sixth year renewal is in December. Originally my premium for $500k Single Limit liability and $1,000 deductible on both collision and comprehensive was around $1,325 annually. My renewal for this year is $1,179 total.
Of course I'm driving a five year old coach, but the premiums have always been lower than those I have checked. The company associated with Camping World was several hundred dollars more. I checked both Allstate and had my independent agent check a couple of his companies. My rating base when new was $225k and has depreciated greatly (don't we know it) over the years.
Progressive still is the lowest to my knowledge. Also, they have the disappearing deductible that makes mine look better each year as I stay claim free. After 26 years in the Property and Casualty business, I'd recommend staying with a major carrier in good standing with your local Insurance Department. A few bucks saved on premiums can't overcome bad claims service if you need them.

Larry, I have to agree with your logic re staying with a major carrier. Additionally, I have reached the point where I have zero deductibles due to the disappearing deductible feature with Progressive. Also, I have replacement coverage which was the primary reason for going to Progressive in the first place. I doubt I will find all these features anywhere else, but am perturbed over the steady increase in premiums.

When considering other insurance carriers, you might ask about coverage for things like awnings. Many standard auto-type policies simply don't cover them.

RV Alliance also has the disappearing deductible and replacement coverage. I switched to them from Progressive when I found out that Progressive does not cover full-timers, even though I told them that I was full-time when I got the policy. My rate dropped a bunch when I changed. I am not looking forward to the next bill though.

Thanks to all who responded. To make a long story short, I've determined it best to stay with Progressive despite their heavy- handed premium increases. Checking with both Miller Agency (who presently handles my policy) and RV Alliance, as well as word of mouth from fellow RV owners, it is apparent I can't even come close to my present cost--especially when considering I have reached zero deductibles per disappearing deductible premium basis.

For comparison purposes following is my current coverage on a 2003 Allure 40' tag axle coach listing at $308,000 with appr purch cost of $240,000:
