I have exhausted all possibilities trying to determine why house batteries are not charging when on the road. Charging ok with shore power and generator. A friend (more knowledgeable electrically than I (everybody is!)) reminded me of the possibility that the oil pressure sending unit "tells" the system to allow the current to flow to the house batteries. Before I begin trying to find it, can anyone give me a clue as to location on a Cat C13???? Bob Fuzak '07 Magna #6827M '08 CR-V

Bob, if you find the solenoid that actives when you hit the boost switch, which you should be able to hear in the electrical bay, start the engine and see if it activates. If not my pressure switch is mounted on the frame next to the engine by my chassis batteries. You will have a oil line running over to it from the engine so it should not be that hard to find. Sounds like that would be a very likely cause of your symptoms if your alternator is keeping your chassis batteries charged or your solenoid may be faulty.
