I have a worstening leak above my hot water tank, accesible from the "LP Access" panel in the compartment just forward of the hot water heater, and dispite my more agressive tightening it just gets worse. I took things apart and found a brass MIPT fitting with a black insert gasket in the end of it. A FIPT fitting with 3 "ears" for getting a grip and leverage is the mating end to the brass end. These fittings are attached to the standard plastic piping that runs throughout the coach. Okay, the black insert gasket seems to be a bit deformed and after removal and a bit of straightening I reinstalled it with a slight improvement but no complete stop of the leak. Does anyone know where I might find one of these insert gaskets? I have visited our local RV supply house with no favorable results. I/we plan to be in Eugene the end of October for some annual service while enroute to Palm Springs for the winter. Any thoughts or ideas are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Allen
