Title: Microwave/Convection oven vent

We have a 2002 Intrigue and the microwave/convection oven combination is mounted in the driver-side galley slide. There is no direct vent through the outside wall for the oven or the vent hood over the stove. Whatever fumes are sucked up by the vent hood is blown right back into the galley by the oven fan and then it would be hoped that the roof vent would suck it out the top. This does not work well at all and I would like to vent the oven and vent hood fan directly through the wall like I see on so many other SOB coaches. I'm not sure whether CC omits this side wall vent on all their models. I've been told that there is a kit that allows for modification to the microwave/convection and I've already checked the slide-out walls in that vicinity and there are no structural beams in the wall. Has anyone made this modification to install a through-the-wall vent or had it done by a shop?

Thanks, Steve

"Steve Bufty",

Have you changed the charcoal filter. I have been satisfied with it but I change it occasionally.

steve,

Charlie Womack at Womack Diesel in Seguin Tx installed a vent thru the side wall of his Inspire and did a beautiful job. He and his son run an RV repair facility. YOu might give him a call. Let us know what you find out. I think they are a CC authorized repair facility also.
